Years before Home4You Costa del Sol was created, Agata appeared on HGTV’s House Hunters International. Watch the episode and discover how that story connects with what we do today.
There are moments in a professional journey that, years later, take on a completely different meaning.
For Agata Bochenko, one of those moments was appearing on House Hunters International, one of the world’s best-known real estate television shows, broadcast by HGTV.

A few years ago, Agata took part in an episode filmed in Poland, helping a Polish-British couple who had decided to leave London behind and begin a new chapter in Katowice.
Today, that story feels particularly meaningful to us.
Because although several years have passed since the episode was filmed, real estate is still very much part of Agata’s professional life.
Only the location has changed.
She brought her experience from Katowice to Costa del Sol.
House Hunters International – Real Estate Through the Buyer’s Eye
Taking part in the show was about much more than simply appearing in front of a camera.

House Hunters International presents the property search primarily from the buyer’s point of view — their expectations, budget, emotions, compromises and ideas about what life in a new place could look like.
And that remains very close to the way we work today.
After all, a client is not simply buying a certain number of square meters, a terrace or two bedrooms.
They are buying a place where they want to live.
Sometimes they are looking for a better climate. Sometimes for a slower, calmer lifestyle. Sometimes for an investment.
And sometimes they simply want to begin a new chapter in a completely different country.
That was the story of the couple in the program who moved from the UK to Poland.
And very often, we hear similar stories today from people who contact us about relocating to or buying property on Costa del Sol.
Agata’s Episode Is Available Again on HGTV
The story has recently been given a second life.
HGTV made the episode available on YouTube as “Trading London for Poland – Full Ep Recap | House Hunters International | HGTV”, bringing Agata’s story back to viewers online.
For us, it is a lovely reminder of one chapter in Agata’s professional journey.
But it also reminds us of something much more important:
real estate has never been only about selling properties.
It is about people making what is often one of the biggest decisions of their lives.

First Poland. Today Costa del Sol.
A great deal has changed since Agata appeared on House Hunters International.
Today, Agata lives and works in Spain and, as part of the Home4You Costa del Sol team, helps clients searching for property in southern Spain.
Mijas, Fuengirola, Benalmádena, Estepona, Marbella and Málaga are very different markets from Katowice.
A different language.
Different regulations.
A different transaction process.
A different primary and resale property market.
But one thing has remained exactly the same:
first you need to understand the person — only then should you start looking for the right property.
Not every beautiful listing is the right property for a particular client.
The property closest to the sea is not always the best choice.
A fashionable address is not automatically a good investment.
And clients do not always end up needing exactly what they thought they were looking for at the beginning.
That is why, before presenting specific properties, we want to understand much more: how the client intends to use the property, how much time they plan to spend in Spain, whether they are buying for themselves or as an investment, and how important transport connections, the sea, local infrastructure, schools, privacy or rental potential are to them.
The TV Appearance Was an Adventure. Real Estate Stayed for Good.

Seeing the episode again after several years brought back plenty of memories.
Filming, cameras, property viewings — and that very familiar tension surrounding one question:
Which home will they choose?
But looking at the episode today, we can also see the beginning of a story that would eventually take Agata much farther south in Europe.
To Costa del Sol.
There is no television script here anymore.
Instead, there are real clients, real budgets, hundreds of developments, conversations with developers, location analysis, documents and decisions that may affect the next many years of someone’s life.
And that is precisely why experience matters far more than an impressive property photo online.
If you would like to see Agata a few years earlier, still working in the Polish real estate market, you can watch the episode here:
And if today you are thinking about moving to another country, buying a second home or investing on Costa del Sol, perhaps your own House Hunters International story is just beginning.
Only this time, without the cameras.
But with us on your side.
